Locarno Film Festival 2022 must sees
Over the course of its 75-year history, the Locarno Film Festival has become one of the most important film events in the world, in one of the most charming locations. Situated between the lake and the mountains, every summer the entire Swiss-Italian city, in the heart of Europe, turns into the capital of international cinema, bringing the most innovative visions to the screen. It’s eleven days of stars, new talents, professionals and, most importantly, the audience.

Screenings, guests, memorable encounters in a unique setting between the lake and the Swiss mountains… For 75 years, the Locarno Film Festival has illuminated Locarno’s summers with cinema, bringing the most daring productions and talents destined to leave their mark on the Piazza Grande and its screening venues. To celebrate its anniversary in 2022, the Festival has many surprises in store.
1. Bullet Train
Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug’s latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – on the world’s fastest train… and he’s got to figure out how to get off. 2. Medusa Deluxe
Medusa Deluxe is a murder mystery set in a competitive hairdressing competition. Extravagance and excess collide, as the death of one of their own sows seeds of division in a community whose passion for hair verges on obsession.
3. Delta
The Po Delta is the setting of the clash between fishermen and poachers. Osso wants to save the river from overfishing at the hands of the Florians, a family on the run from the Danube.
